Nothing can excite taste buds like a fresh, juicy peach from South Carolina in the summer time…except when it’s turned into scrumptious chutney! Homemade chutney makes the perfect pair with sandwiches, crackers, cheese, meats and more. In this class you’ll travel through canning process hands-on from start to finish, learning many tricks along the way. Everyone will leave with a homemade jar of delicious peach chutney, along with recipes to try at home.
Sallie Dent Porth, Founder & Canner-in-Chief of Sallie’s Greatest, will lead the class using her canning expertise. After the class, she’ll offer some of her award winning jams to sample and sell, so get your taste buds ready. She will accept cash or check as payment.
Join us on Thursday, August 17th from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Our class registration is limited to the first 18 people, so register quickly! Classes are for beginner’s, but folks with canning skills are welcome to join and learn some new tricks too.
